Welcome New Artist!

La Petite Gallerie is excited to welcome pencil artist Mary Burrell into our midst as a new member. Her work is a delightful addition to the gallery! 

In Mary's own words...

“I've curated a portfolio of  drawing by the use of distinctive textures, shading and a keen attention to detail along with many layers. Drawing, to me, is a meditative practice, and oddly enough, the more detailed the drawing, the more I find it enjoyable. 

“Primarily self-taught, I am constantly seeking new avenues to explore in the realm of art. My preferred medium is pencil, though I do enjoy playing with acrylic at times.

“I embrace challenges when selecting subject matter, viewing them as opportunities for improvement.”     

 

Mary is an award-winning artist and very involved in our local art community. She is a sought-after teacher and leads the children's art program at the Society of Bluffton Artists. We are so happy to have Mary join us!
